Celebrations, conferences and cake: what we’ve been up to during our break from the blog

What’s up, everyone?

Laura here. We’ve been a bit absent on our blog as of late (sorry!) because of some pretty cool life events (not sorry). So – for our inaugural article back – we thought we’d give you the scoop on what we’ve been up to over a virtual cappuccino or two. Ready?

1. I had a birthday!

We’re very much fans of celebrating annual events, and birthdays are absolutely no exception. So of course, we had to commemorate my special day in style… mainly with amazing French toast, glorious massages and back-to-back episodes of Ainori Love Wagon on Netflix. (24 hours well spent, we’d say.)

2. We went to New York!

It’s impossible to surmise what an amazing, vibrant and exciting adventure we ended up having in the Big Apple, but here it goes… gorgeous views from the Top of the Rock. Big LOLs at the famous Village Comedy Club. Idyllic walks through Central Park. Crying over how delicious reuben sandwiches are. Chanting “you suck!” at Kurt Angle at Wrestlemania 35. Finding this amazing bear in Times Square…

… “meeting” Maya Angelou at Madame Tussauds…

Maya Angelou

… scouting out some magical bookstores in Brooklyn…

Books Are Magic Brooklyn

… and some equally amazing books in Barnes and Noble.

Barnes and Noble

Now that’s what we call good content.

3. I attended the International Women’s Day conference!

I got chatting to lots of business-savvy ladies at the International Women’s Day Conference at Wetherby Racecourse, where I mingled with everybody from local brands to self-starters and industry professionals alike. It was amazing to be around so many inspiring business women, and I can’t wait for the opportunity to speak with them again. Sisters are truly doing it for themselves, all.

4. We’ve been busy writing awesome tech content for some amazing European brands!

This exciting update is still happening, and we couldn’t be happier. We’ve been working hard for several fabulous tech and gaming companies including the giant stockist of gadgets, gizmos and games, Ebuyer. We’ve been populating their new gaming hub with loads of juicy content spanning tech and video games news (one of our biggest passions over at Jammy Bear) which has been an incredible process. We’re also working hard on building the UK presence of a revolutionary cloud gaming company, so watch this space!

Enough about us. What has been new with you? Let us know in the comments below or send us a tweet over at @JammyBearLtd!
